I want to replace the tile in my bath / shower but do not want to use tile or a fiberglass surround. Ideas?

 I need to cut a tortuous hole in a ceramic tile big enough for a 15mm pipe. The tile is currently 'not' on the be ruined as I am chasing the plaster and stone to lay the pipes ready for the shower section. Any ideas out there?
