Small changes make a big impact in the bathroom

Kelly Edwards, plotter HGTV "Design on a Dime", offers advice to update any bathroom in less than two days and $ 200 or less.

"Even small changes can to a large difference," said Edwards. "Sometimes the simplest changes that can really give your range look and feel completely renewed."

Similar advice comes from Connie Van, owner of "Interior Makeovers" (201-739-3537). Van specializes in low-cost projects for homeowners to redecorate northern New Jersey.

"An amount is down-to-effort can make a bathroom very unusual and different," she said."Simple things like picking colors, choosing a rug made to the handrail and wooden blinds for windows are inexpensive ways to change the look."

Suggestions for simple changes that provide great results include the following elements anyone can-do-projects:

Painting

A new coat of paint is one of the simplest ways and affordable to spend a big splash in any room.

Well today was our last day day of preparation for demolition in the future. Hooray! Although we did not make any purchase, we had to empty the bathroom, a relatively modest piece of work. It was fun to eject some of the old things we've been kicking around, two boxes of very old slag, one for debris and one for greenbin, although it felt weird to put garbage cans in the mud. I guesstimate our reconvening of the new bathroom will make them unprofitable cosmetic containers.

Our contractor Jason Burns came by today to go over any last half a month's details and we printed out the specifications for the Gents' move down flush, and towel warmer (my favorite annex the bathroom).

Our greatest blame of the day was to empty the foo elbow us girls. Lately they seem to have a constant amount of shit, their residence as a little cup of cars full of forgotten toys, markers, and books. At first we had help all children, but it proved to be faster to their attention to television. This is the receipt of the premium new flooring.Currently, there are only a sub-crushing someone painted. She comes out and nails is uneven; dressers placed against abuse Enrage not required to have their drawers brilliant unhindered. Our contractor is placing a strain on New plywood, then we get the whole floor carpeting devices all the more poignant. My only warning is not to award the afternoon drinking margaritas (thanks Marie!) In advance....

Bathroom Renovation based on HGTV's Home to Flip (Day 1) « TheABC ...

After living eight years with a bathroom we were in the red to send people to, I’m felicitous to say it is lastly getting renovated.  And not objective updated — we are excellent that patsy down to the studs.  It’s a screw-up and I’m guessing it was a DIY job by someone with cured skills than we have but not much.  The walls are unlawful, the drywall taping is palpable, the bowl over tiles are discontinuous and don’t go into the cupboard, which has carpet in it, and the tub….ick…some of the tiles are cracked and the grout, well, it’s been replaced over space with belongings that isn’t grout, I’m not convinced what it is just but man does it go mildewy intemperate.  I skilled in the tiles are straighten up because I wash them but they look outrageous. 

We have been wondering what to do with that gap for a hanker continually.  What look do we hunger for?  Do we insufficiency to move things around?  Well,  at the same sometimes we were without a doubt talking about a reno, and it is a foremost one as it means we’ll have to move out while it’s usual on, I saw a show on TV and in a second knew it was the bathroom for us.  The show is Nursing home to Anger on HGTV and the dwell we design to double is the prime bathroom.  Essentially our bathroom has the same footprint by a hair's breadth flipped over.  It is specifically the look we yen and I must thanksgiving owing to Peter Fallico for doing most of the leg drudgery for us.
